  • Modular LOADMASTER Training Videos Added to Skills Builder

Alliance has added operation and maintenance videos on the Modular LOADMASTER load former to the Skills Builder online training platform. This training is free to Alliance customers. Operation topics include manual setup and auto setup and operation. Maintenance topics include calibration, setup, and operation. To view the videos, visit https://www.alliancellc.com/copy-of-loadmaster4calib-ops and enter your email and password. To view Alliance's training videos, visit www.alliancellc.com/training. About the mLM4 The Alliance Modular LOADMASTER allows for higher throughput by including additional modules to decrease incremental process times vs a single lift LOADMASTER. It allows an operator to build stacked unit loads from individual bundles of material without the need to lift each bundle. The operator receives incoming bundles on a transfer table and slides them onto a stripper plate to form a tier pattern. As each tier is completed, the operator cycles the stripper plate to place the tier on the stack, and the stack is incrementally lowered into the floor pit. When the desired tier count is reached, the completed unit discharges automatically. The Modular LOADMASTER can be equipped with modules that increase bundle throughput, nest unit exit time and automate bottom sheet placement. With a fully optioned Modular LOADMASTER, load forming station throughput can be increased by as much as double vs a single lift LOADMASTER while allowing the operator to manage all aspects of the system from the upgraded operating station.

  • Feed It Right with Prefeeders by Alliance

Accurate and efficient feeding of corrugated to a flexo folder gluer or rotary die cutter is a key component of maintaining productivity on the box line. Alliance’s line of prefeeders includes innovative features to ensure maximum reliability, ease of use, and continuous operation to increase productivity. Alliance offers models designed to match the size, speed, and printing capabilities of your flexo folder gluer or rotary die cutter finishing machine. They are designed for fully automatic operation with high reliability, while reducing the potential for material jamming. A wide range of optional features ensures that Alliance prefeeders can handle any of the material calipers and flutes required in today’s corrugated production environment. Alliance Prefeeders FeedMAX™ Block Push Bottom Feeder Jumbo Bottom Feeder High-speed Top Feeder with prehopper option Inverting Top Feeder and mini ITF Top Feeder and Jumbo Top Feeder Feedmax Block Push Bottom Feeder The FeedMAX BPBF receives a stack of corrugated material, lifts it, divides it into measured blocks, then feeds sheets off the bottom of the block under a vertical stop onto the downstream extendo section in a continuous shingled stream for delivery into the finishing machine hopper. Features Automatic warp compensation adapts to variation in board quality, reducing downtime. Block priming leads to less jams, reducing operator intervention. Automatic stack centering provides more consistent alignment. The AutoSet option prepares the machine for specific orders, allowing for faster setup. A tilted shingle gate provides for more reliable shingling with reduced maintenance, while the 2-belt extendo improves shingling reliability. The FeedMAX accepts 72-inch high stacks, and 90-inch tall stacks are optional. Download the brochure here. Jumbo Bottom Feeder The JBF is designed to handle very large sized blank sheets of corrugated material up to 100 inches by 215 inches. It receives a stack of material, lifts it up, divides it into measured blocks, and then feeds sheets off the bottom of the block onto the extendo in a continuous shingled stream for delivery into the finishing machine hopper. Design features include automatic stack centering, 84-inch adjustable block pusher, variable height shingle gate with hold-down roller, and more. High-speed Top Feeder The Alliance HSTF is specifically optimized for high-speed operation with various types of corrugated board. The unique two-chamber inverter assembly provides positive control of bundles while rotating in one direction. The lift assembly is optimized for tall stack operation. Options include a Prehopper, a wide-belt extendo, plastic-belt chain lift assembly, deluxe waste sheet removal system, and a backup control station. Download the brochure here. Inverting Top Feeder The ITF is an electric, automatic prefeeder for top-printing converting machines capable of feeding stacks of small board sizes. The lead stack is conveyed to a side-shifting centering conveyor, centered, then onto the lifting forks. The stack is inverted and fed into the prehopper where it is accumulated and squared. The material exits in a continuous shingle, which flows down the extendo into the finishing machine hopper. Features Accommodates incoming stacks up to 79 inches tall Variable height shingle gate with prehopper tampers Automatic stack centering Deluxe waste removal system Small footprint Jumbo Top Feeder The JTF handles very large sized blank sheets of corrugated material, up to 100 inches by 200 inches. It receives a stack of material, lifts it up, divides it into measured blocks, inverts each block, then feeds sheets off the bottom of the block onto the extendo in a continuous shingled stream for delivery into the finishing machine hopper. Features include automatic stack centering, incoming stack heights up to 72 inches tall, Powered waste sheet gate assembly, and more. Coming soon! • Profile: Mack Rubash

Meet Mack Rubash, an Alliance Sales Applications Engineer in the U.S. Education: Bachelor's in mechanical engineering from Eastern Washington University What is your role at Alliance? I am a “Swiss army knife” who serves as an applications engineer and liaison between Alliance’s sales and design engineering teams. I have to know as much as I can about our systems to be able to relay that to our customers. How do you and the AE team help customers? “We do a lot of consulting with our customers on our equipment and with our salespeople. We do spatial floorplan layouts, designing the form, fit, and function of Alliance machines in a box plant. While we’re not designing the machine specifically, we’re designing the system interface as a whole and detailing how that application will work for our customer.”
