Industrial Process Engineer – Spokane
Applies scientific data gathering and measurement techniques to box production
lines to assess and enhance the overall production efficiency of customer
lines containing Alliance equipment. Benchmarks performance of Alliance
machine designs against competitors. Suggests enhancements and new products
to create measurable productivity advantage over competitors’ offerings.
Via Lean initiatives, develops product line content that goes beyond hardware
and software and offers customers the benefits of Lean production systems.
Works closely with Sales, Engineering and Product Management/Marketing,
and the user community, to identify opportunities to more fully satisfy
customer’s production needs. Serves as the company’s expert
in the field and represents the company in technical forums focused on
competitive production of corrugated packaging. Requires BSIE degree (or
higher) and appropriate job-related continuing education. Must have deep
working knowledge of statistical analysis and queuing theory and working
knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Techniques. Three or more years experience
within a productivity oriented volume manufacturing environment are required.
Experience as IE in a corrugated box plant is a plus. Must be able to
discuss operational issues at an operator and plant manager level. Excellent
oral and written communication skills, a positive “get-it-done”
attitude, and the ability to work as part of a team in a demanding production
environment are essential.
