Description of Issue
The horizontally adjustable shingle gate on «Machine_» has two cam followers on each side of the shingle gate that have exposed potential pinch points.

Discussion
Alliance has developed guards to cover the cam followers and guard the potential pinch/shear/crush points created by the cam followers. These guards will prevent access to the cam followers and to the access holes in the cam followers’ paths.
Two guards (shown in yellow above) should be installed on each side of the horizontally adjustable shingle gate. One guard covers the cam followers, preventing access to those potential pinch points. The other guard covers the opening in the frame, eliminating the potential pinch point.
Recommended Action
Alliance recommends that you install the guards within 10 days after receiving this safety bulletin.
